Olympus Evolt E-330 reviewed

Oly Evolt E330

The Evolt E-330 gives D-SLR photographers the best of both worlds: the options of composing on the 2.5-inch LCD screen or of looking through the viewfinder. How did Olympus achieve a live view? Essentially, it inserted another sensor, in this case a CCD sensor, into the reflected path that carries the image from the lens, through the camera, and into the viewfinder. This CCD sends a signal of that image to the LCD screen, which has another feature D-SLR displays have never had: It articulates. So, if you want to take a Hail Mary shot (hold your camera above your head and pray you get the shot), you can adjust the screen, extend your arm, and still see precisely what you're aiming your E-330 at.
