Fuji’s new FinePix Z2 offers just a slight bump in specs to the already luscious
Z1 — so small, in fact, that we can
barely differentiate the two. The cameras share the same 5th generation 5.1 megapixel CCD, 2.5-inch LCD (sans optical
viewfinder), 3x optical zoom, and tasty super-slim industrial design. If you hit the specs closely you’ll find
the Z2 ups the LCD
resolution from 115,000 to 232,000 pixels, a max ISO sensitivity from 800 to 1600, a wider aperture range, and now
comes in white or red in addition to silver and black. The FinePix Z2 should be available in November.
Update: Bummer, dude—Fuji rang to let us know that the Z2 isn’t slated for US release. Doesn’t mean it won’t
happen, but it’s not exactly encouraging when they make a point to let us know.
