Looks like these days the quick way for the big boys who’re hangin’ DSLR-free to get in on the action is to lend
their name to a partnership with a reputable camera manufacturer. It hasn’t paid off in dividends for
Sony and Konica Minolta quite yet (it’ll probably be
another year before they’ve got products on the market), but Samsung wants to step it up to the next level from all
those nicer hybrids they’ve been making by working on DSLRs (finally!) with Pentax. We haven’t been too inspired with
confidence by Samsung’s digital camera
offerings in the past, but Pentax is obviously at the top of the game in the consumer photography world, so
hopefully their jointly-developed products won’t disappoint.
