So, the long wait is almost over. Nikon finally got around to announcing their much anticipated D200 D-SLR digicam
today as the rumor mill predicted. Specs and
snaps had been leaking like CCD epoxy over the
last few months so itâs nice to finally confirm that the 10.2 megapixels, 5 frames per second shooting, and 2.5-inch
LCD specs are the real deal. Letâs Go Digital is so âenthusiasticâ? about the new D-SLR that theyâve slapped up, oh, 20
pages of review love claiming it âcould be the perfect solutionâ? for semi-pro or even less demanding professional
photographers saying itâs every bit the D-SLR theyâve been âwaiting for.â? They do a very nice
head-to-head specification smackdown
showing how the D200 stacks up against Nikonâs dusty olâ D100 and rival Canon
EOS 5D and
EOS 20D shooters. Well, keep on waiting folks
âcause it wonât start shipping until December â priced to compete at about $1,700 so youâd better pre-order if you need
one by Xmas.
